A GOLD FEVER VICTIM!
I am a fanatic when it comes to gold prospecting and I have traveled all over our great nation in search of that shiny, yellow metal. I have prospected in California, Washington, Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Georgia, Oklahoma, Maine and now full-time in Colorado!
My goal is to share my passion for the hobby, my experiences prospecting, including panning, sluicing, high banking, dredging and detecting.
Now that I am retired from the USAF several years back, I have moved back to our house/property in the Colorado Rocky Mountains...in the heart of the Colorado Mineral Belt no less!
There is so much gold and silver mining history here -- ghost towns still exist here in the high country...
There is a lot of prospecting yet to be done by me, as the mid to late 1800s saw many famous gold discoveries very close to my home -- in and around Leadville, St. Elmo and Granite, just to name a few.
Also, I began offering Gold Adventures guided prospecting trips for individuals and families on a fee basis back in the Spring of 2014. I guided about 15 outings in 2014 and every trip out a success. I will continue to offer my gold panning concentrates to people wanting a fun & unique panning experience.
